Momma Peas!
I was shopping in Burley with Brayden and Whitney (by myself). I really try not to go without someone else because the kids are not good shoppers. They were extremely good this day. So while we were waiting for my mom to finish I told Brayden we could go look at the toys because he was a good boy. He found a truck and trailer that he loved. We got doing other things and I forgot he had it in the basket. When we got to the check out stand I noticed it and was going to put it back. He grabbed it in his arms and put his puppy dog face on. "Mine, peas momma, peas!" He has never said please before...... my heart melted and I suckered in and now has a new truck! (He learned quick how to melt my heart)

Counting
Since Brayden doesn't say many words yet... one word has multiple meanings. Like 'blue' is a blue popsicle, blue car, or anything else that is colored blue. (Can you see why it gets frustrating)
Lately, to keep Brayden happy on car rides, we have started to count the semi trucks. Because he can't say 'one, two, three' he says "E, O, O, E" and counts with his fingers. Once he starts talking more, I've never going to be able to get him to stop.

I love you
Brayden is now 2 1/2 and still is very limited on the words he is saying. It gets very frustrating as a parent and for him as well. He understands everything we say, just can't vocalize it. I have started to do more signs with him and he picks them up really fast, usually within a times of showing him.
I showed him how to say 'I Love You'. While he is trying to say it he concentrates so hard on how to move his hands. Sometimes all he gets is "I --- YOU!" and he always gives me the biggest hug when he is done.
What an angel

Sleep time
Brayden has never NEVER sleep with us. He doesn't even sleep very well in the same room as us. While he was in the hospital this Aug. I slept in the bed with him and when we got home he wouldn't go to bed without someone with him. I've never watched him sleep so much.... He is so precious while he sleeps.
He starts by using his innocent eyes and beautiful smile to get my to lay next to him. He pats on the pillow until my head is firmly on the pillow. Before I leave his room at night, I kiss him on the forehead and tell him good night. While I was sleeping next to him right before he would fall asleep he would lean over and kiss my forehead.... talk about melting my heart.
He is a creature of habit. His 'lightin' McQueen pillow has to be facing down and he keep turning his pillow and squirming around until his head fits perfectly in the dent of his pillow. I started to notice that he lays in bed and looks around for quit awhile until he gets sleepy. Then he will turn to his side grab his blanket and his cup of juice cuddle up with them and fall asleep.
He is sleeping by himself again, but I find myself sneaking in to watch him sleep. Theses days that is the only time I see the perfect side of him.

Who starts the debates in our house?
For the past few weeks we have noticed Whitney's personality coming out. She is becoming a stubborn, dramatic, little girl. Brayden likes to have her sit next to him. When they sit next to each other while watching cartoons, Whitney is the one to start the pestering. She will grab at his nose, mouth, or shirt and start to laugh. Brayden gets mad and she laughs harder....
What a cute little bugger.
